Durand Eastman Golf club is a public organization located in Rochester, New York. The golf club exists for the sole purpose of enjoying and promoting the game of golf and the social and competitive pleasure that goes with it. The club was established in 1930 and is a founding member of the Rochester District Golf Association (RDGA). It is this alliance with the RDGA that that enables Durand Eastman Golf Club to promote the game of golf for the general public.

The RDGA represents the primary governing body of local amateur tournaments. More importantly, the RDGA is the official administrator of the USGA Rules of Golf and USGA handicapping service (GHIN) in the Rochester Area (Eaton Golfweek 2005). In addition to the RDGA, Durand Eastman Golf Club is also affiliated with The United States Golf Association (USGA) and The New York Golf Association (NYSGA). Members at the Durand Eastman Golf Club afford no special privileges at the Durand Eastman Golf Course  facility and are considered equal to public paying fee golfers. The Club offers a competitive golf environment through tournament and weekly play for golfers of all capabilities while extending the social benefit of associating with fellow members.
